Piedmont EMC members can have their monthly bill paid automatically by bank draft or debit/credit card draft. You will still receive a bill statement in order to view your monthly electric use.
- Select the type of payment you prefer, bank draft or debit/credit card draft, and then print out the appropriate form.
- Bank draft applicants need to attach a voided check to ensure we have the correct information for draft.
- Draft dates are determined by each member's billing cycle.
- Once you have completed the form you can return it by mail or drop it off at the nearest Piedmont Emc office.
For more information, just give us a call.

FlexPay - a pre-pay energy solution
Piedmont Electric members now have the option of pre-pay power. This plan allows participants to determine how much and how often they pay provided their account maintains a positive balance. If it would be easier to make weekly or bi-weekly payments rather than one large payment each month, FlexPay may be right for you. For additional details on this program, please contact us online or call Piedmont Electric at 800.222.3107.
Night deposit boxes are located at the Hillsborough, Roxboro and Caswell County offices for after-hour payments.
In addition to making payments at the Cooperative's branch offices, members may also make payments at the Roxboro, Carrboro and Mebane branches of SunTrust Bank during regular business hours.
Payments made at Suntrust Bank may not post to your account for up to five (5) business days.
Budget Billing evens out the amount members pay so they can avoid paying higher bills during the weather extremes of summer and winter. With budget billing, payments are spread out over the months when milder weather isn't impacted by heating or cooling. Many consumers find this helps them to budget their energy dollars more efficiently.
Your Budget Billing amount will be based on your previous 12 months electric use. You will pay a set amount for 11 months. In the twelfth month, a "settle-up" payment will be due. A new Budget Billing amount will then be calculated and the process begins again.
